We're thrilled to announce the launch of The Phonics School Poetry Competition!
To participate, students will need to choose a poem, learn it by heart and then perform it to camera. Parents can then submit the video to us via WhatsApp or email before the deadline date: 15th November 2024.

Throughout the rest of October, we will be sharing age-appropriate poems across our social media channels for inspiration and ideas! Please like our page here to follow us.
Age Groups
This competition will feature three age categories:
7 years and under
10 years and under
13 years and under
14 years plus
The winner and runner-up of each age category will win a monetary prize.

For those students already having classes with us, your teacher would be happy to help your child prepare for this competition some of the following ways:
Shared Reading: Exploring a variety of poems together to spark inspiration
Poem Selection: Guiding students in choosing a poem
Memorisation: Teaching effective strategies for memorising poems
Performance Skills: Helping students develop confidence and stage presence
